Bloodshot Records

Located in Chicago, Bloodshot Records is a wicked cool little alt country site. Here you can actually sample the CDs before you buy them. Nothing's more than and as long as you're not an Illinois native, there's no tax. Home to such artists as: The Waco Brothers, Neko Case, Kelly Hogan, John Langford and the Sadies, Rico Bell and the Snakehandlers, The Handsome Family and many, many more. Check it out!

No Depression

This site is the official home page of No Depression, a bimonthly magazine covering alternative-country music (whatever that is) a paper and ink publication, available at finer record stores, bookstores and newsstands across the U.S.A. Great features and a wonderful source of what's new and upcoming in the alt country world.

The Onion

If you like the magazine, you'll love this site. One of my favorite satirical sites.

Landover Baptist Church

The OTHER satirical site I enjoy. Warning, do not take this site literally.

Radioio

One of the best free online radio stations I've found. Not much Top 40 to be found here. Definitely for those with eclectic tastes in music. Like I said, it's free, but there are also membership options available to those who want to support this great underground station.

A fan site of great concert photos of the Cowboy Junkies and Over the Rhine.

Sigur Ros

Sigur Rós hails from Iceland and brings you the beautiful landscape of their homeland with their music. Impossible to justify with words; you have to hear it in order to understand.
